It is very confusing, some say it is the Verdejo from Spain, others the Verdelho from Madeira, but it is not.
Gouveio from the Douro is the same as Godello in Valdeorras or Verdelho in the Alentejo.
It is a fruity variety, with notes of tea with very good body and great longevity.
Gouveio has yellow and round berries, a variety that presents a fruity and tropical aroma.
It produces wines balanced in acidity and exuberant in aroma.
