Maçanita Wines is a project of two brothers and two enologists.
Wines made by two hands, some wines, although produced together, are the preferences, manias, or visions of each one of the brothers. This is an extreme Gouveio, of altitude, of freshness, which shows the potential of this variety, in its pure and mineral side, embracing at the same time all its fruit and exuberance. A Joaninha Gouveio.
Baixo Corgo - Poiares village - the vineyards are located right in the center of the village. At 700 meters of altitude facing north. The vineyards overflow with freshness and richness.
The grapes are hand picked and transported in 18 kg boxes. In the winery, direct pressing of the whole bunch, fermentation at 14 degrees in stainless steel tanks. Aged for 6 months in stainless steel.
Pale yellow color with greenish nuances. Gouveio da Joaninha is a wine that expresses the variety in its purest version, where fruit and minerality are accentuated. In the mouth it is tense with great depth.
