António Maçanita wines are produced in different regions, but with a very firm thread: the historical recovery and appreciation of the inherent characteristics of the grape varieties and regions, not following fashions, but rather creating them, sometimes unwillingly. Maçanita Wines

The Maçanita Wines project was created by the Maçanita brothers in the Douro in 2011. Working side by side in over 14 wineries around the country, Joana and António wanted the Maçanita project to reflect the experiences and desires of the two brothers and winemakers. A lot of laughter, many discussions, and a philosophy of questioning the existing way of doing things. How to show the Douro? And after all, old vines or new vines? Grapes letter A or letter F? Are the grapes for a Vintage wine the best grapes for a table wine? These were questions that were asked, trying to understand the terroir.  These four-handed wines had to speak of all these Douro.
