Códega do Larinho is a medium ripening grape variety. It produces citrus-coloured wines with a very complex, intense fruity (tropical fruits) and floral aroma.
Essentially planted in the Douro region, in old post-phylloxera plantations. Códega do Larinho is a variety with large, spotted grapes, with a very intense aroma, which is also characterised by a very thick skin loaded with phenolic compounds (texture).
Códega do Larinho is used in the blending of white port wines for its aromatic characteristics and ease of producing alcohol.
