Maçanita Vinhos is a project by two brothers and two winemakers looking to explore the terroir of the Douro. The Cima Corgo sub-region, which is characterized by a cooler, less continental climate than the Douro Superior, gave rise to this Touriga, which shows a more floral, fresher and purer side.
18 months in neutral French oak barrels.
The grapes are harvested by hand and transported in 18 kg boxes. In the cellar, cold pre-maceration, spontaneous fermentation, cuvaison for 26 days.
Intense ruby-violet color. In the tasting, it is very fresh, with a strong fruit expression and a different level of ripeness.
Store at 12ºC to be served at 16ºC and drink at 18ºC.
Goes well with white and red meat dishes, both in traditional and modern cuisine.
