100% Touriga Nacional.
Queen variety of Portuguese grapes, Touriga Nacional is known for its floral identity. A fragile identity that will be lost with time, aging and contact with barrels. This essay shows the pure Touriga, in a rare version, aged only 3 months in vat, so that it clarifies in a natural way. The grapes are from schist soils and the fermentation occurred spontaneously. Does the Touriga go naked? Yes! But we have never seen it so well dressed!
Intense ruby-violet color. In the tasting it is quite fresh, with a strong expression of fruit, making it a very sweet wine, with another level of maturity. No barrel contact, which allows us to taste our "queen" grape variety raw and naked as we have never seen it before.
Continental Mediterranean, hot and dry days, with very cold nights.
White and red meat dishes, both in traditional and modern cuisine.
All our grapes come from top quality integrated production vineyards in the Alentejo region in southern Portugal. The vines are grown in very poor soils of schist or granite origin, naturally giving rise to very concentrated grapes. The aromatic profile is further enhanced by cultural practices such as defoliation, topping and weeding of green bunches.
