Galega da Fitapreta is an olive oil from two olive groves, one of centenary olive trees in Redondo (89%), and the other of olive trees over 300 years old from Paço Morgado de Oliveira, home of Fitapreta Vinhos (11%).
Fitapreta's Galega was born from the combination of Fitapreta's olives at Paço Morgado de Oliveira (Graça do Divor) with those of Patrícia Nunes at Baldio d'Alvo Rei (Redondo), thus creating this special batch of Galega in partnership.
The Galega olive is an indigenous Portuguese variety that is being lost due to low productivity and profitability. This olive oil has notes of tea, apple and a hint of lime zest, and is wonderful for seasoning salads or grilled fish.
