100% Arinto from the Azores. Arinto dos Açores is an indigenous and exclusive grape variety of the Azores islands, having in common with the Arinto of the mainland only the name and good acidity.
A terroir unique in the world, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, at the base of the volcanic mountain of Pico, the vines are planted in the crevices of the rock, near the sea, where you can hear the "singing of the crab", because this is where there is more sun and heat. A proximity of, sometimes, few meters that requires the vineyard to be protected by walls (currais), from the strong and saline winds of the Atlantic.
Clean citrine yellow color. Pure mineral aroma, citrus with hints of grapefruit. Tense attack, fresh with a minerality and acidity very present, good persistence and saline notes.
Fresh, very mineral and saline. Ideal partner for oysters, barnacles and bivalves. It also works with grilled fish, salads and fresh seafood.
Selective manual harvest in 40kg baskets, pressing of whole bunch, transfer after 24 hours to fermentation vats of 600-1000L.
12,5% Vol.
Keep at 6-8ºC to be served at 10ºC, and to drink at 12ºC.
